Five Unusual Ideas for a Summer Holiday This Year

After the past 18 months, we’re all keen to get out and about and back to the usual summer routine of going traveling. But more than ever, now feels like the time to try new things – so why not think up a new holiday idea? When you’ve got so used to going to the same destinations over and over again it can be easy to get stuck in a rut and forget that there is actually a whole wide world out there. This summer could be your opportunity to explore a new location, experiment with a new activity, or learn something new about the world. So what are some ideas for a holiday that you might not have tried out?

  1. RV Holiday

An RV holiday can be cheap and cheerful or luxurious – the choice is yours, as there are many different types of RV parks out there from basic camping sites to dedicated and fully kitted out parks with outdoor furniture and spas. You can choose from a huge range of locations too!

  1. Cruise

Cruises are a fantastic way to explore the world without taking on the stress of planning – once you’ve picked your ideal cruise you can leave the itinerary to the cruise company, and you can just get on and off the boat when you’d like. Cruises also have all the amenities you could wish for onboard, from spas to restaurants, all in one place. They can also be a great way to meet new people!

  1. Hiking holiday

Hiking holidays are a great way to get some active rest and relaxation whilst enjoying being out in nature. You will see lots of wildlife and scenery, and you will also be likely to make new friends. Hiking holidays can also be a great idea for a solo trip as you will have a ready-made group of friends in your walking group.

  1. City break

Ideal for anyone who wants a quick getaway without the price tag or commitment of a two-week holiday, a city break is a wonderful way to see the world and experience a snapshot of a different culture. Weekend city breaks give you a chance to do tours of local sights, experience the nightlife, and take plenty of gorgeous photos without needing to spend a lot of money or book too long off work! And, when you’re back, you can create a wall collage with these photos. Hang a beautiful summer painting in the center and surround it with your photograph. This collage will keep reminding you of your best days whenever you look at it. The beauty of a city break is that as it’s a short length of time, you can either splurge on a couple of nights in a nice hotel, or you can book somewhere cheap because you won’t be spending very much time in your room!

So there you have it – if you’ve been looking forward to going on holiday but unsure what to do, we hope this list has given you a few ideas!
