Chartering a yacht is the most amazing experience, and the perfect holiday for people who are willing to learn something new and try their hand at a new sport.
Sailing is a really fun sport to take part in, and not all that risky if you take the right precautions, and plan your journey well. If you’re taking the boat ‘bareboat’ then you need to have knowledge of the local weather conditions, as well as what you need to do to fix the boat if anything goes wrong – but you can avoid all that hassle by simply having a Skipper on board – they can drive the boat, whilst you sit and take in the views without a care in the world!
If you’re tired of your hectic work routine and want to try out something interesting, try chartering a yacht. Let’s have a glance at the advantages of spending your vacations via sailing.
Benefits of Sailing
We know that there are multiple benefits of chartering a yacht. The closer we get to nature the healthier we stay – that is why it is highly recommended by doctors as well as health experts to get outside as often as possible – but we know that this is not always possible in our busy schedules.
When you’re sailing, you’re outside, and as close to nature as it is possible to be – exploring the sea and oceans. The blue sky and amazing coastline are an added attraction to the experience of sailing.

- Learning new things.
How to Try Sailing for the First Time?
Well, if you are a newbei when it comes to chartering a yacht, then no worries. We are here to help you out. If you are willing to learn how to sail, and get a licence from the RYA then you can take the yacht or catamaran out yourself. We still recommend getting a skipper if your siling in a new area – he will teach you how to sail the specific boat and then once you’re up to speed, he will leave you to sail in your way. And this will feel like you are the king of the ocean..
If you don’t want to sail yourself, then you can go with a Skipper that will let you explore nature, but without any of the worries and strains that come with being in charge of a boat at sea.
Having been pn a sailing yacht in the Greek islands last summer, I can highly recommend going on one! It is as relaxing as it is possible to be – with the waves lapping at the boat, the sunshine, your own music blasting away, stunning scenery, and gorgeous little harbour-side bars and restaurants to visit each night – bliss!
