Surprisingly Serene Mountain Getaways For Christmas

Is there anything better than a cozy white Christmas in a cabin with your nearest and dearest with you? For many of us, the answer quite simply is a big no. There’s something so magical about being able to watch the snowfall during Christmas time. If you live somewhere where it doesn’t snow, then you may be even more interested in finding a cozy cabin for your Christmas getaway.

One of the best things you can do is to combine your serene mountain getaways with a skiing or snowboarding trip. Whether you’ve tried snowboarding or skiing before, or if it will be your first time, there are few places in the world better for powder than Colorado.

3 Things to Remember Before Booking Your Serene Mountain Getaway:

1. Christmas time is extremely popular, book well in advance.
Christmas cabin rental is probably one of the busiest times of the year for a cabin rental because let’s be real, who doesn’t want to go stay in a gorgeous cabin during the most festive time of year? Most people also have some paid leave during the Christmas period, which makes it an easier than usual time to go for a family holiday. For this reason, I suggest booking well in advance. Depending on the cabins you want to use, you may have to even book more than a year in advance.

2. It’s More Fun with Friends
Why not consider having a few friends and family book neighboring cabins, that way you can have a big special holiday together while enjoying your own private cabin. This can be such a fun way to create special memories together. It can be hard to find the time to get together as much as you’d like to during the year, so by doing this you’ll be sure to have a few quality days together during the Christmas period.

3. Consider Buying Secondhand Ski Gear
If you’re going to be skiing or snowboarding during your Christmas Cabin escape, it can actually work out much more economical to buy second-hand ski gear than to rent for a few days. This is especially true for adult’s gear, which you can use season after season. For children’s gear, that they’ll probably grow out of before the next season, it may not be worth buying. If you’ll only be gone a few days, why not reach out on Facebook and see if anyone has any gear they’d be happy to loan you. This can help reduce costs considerably!

A Serene Mountain Getaway can be the perfect way to celebrate your Christmas with loved ones, hopefully, these tips help you plan the perfect holiday escape.
